ORDER OF BATTLE — REFERENCE GUIDE
An Order of Battle (ORBAT) is a formal hierarchical record identifying the units, command structure, strength, disposition, and equipment of an armed force. It is the foundational document for operational planning, intelligence analysis, and force employment across all domains. What does an ORBAT contain?

FULLCOM → OPCOM → OPCON → TACON → ADCON → SUPPORT
FULLCOM is national; OPCOM/OPCON/TACON are exercised by NATO commanders. Administrative Control (ADCON) covers personnel and logistics. Most subordinate unit lines in a NATO ORBAT show the relevant OPCON or TACON authority.
